RGM oil pressure gauge readings

I would agree that a line full of air may affect the reading -not that it would affect the pressure that was the gauge was reading.

If you look at the inlet fitting on most gauges you will see a tiny hole that is meant to dampen the gauge.

If the medium that is passing through that restriction is air -then there will be less dampening than if it was oil that was passing through the restriction.

So yes, fluttering of the gauge may be affected by a line full of air. Jim

While at Lake of the Pines Jim Comstock advised me to get rid of the anti-drain valve on my bike and get an oil pressure gauge.
I have removed the valve and have been looking at oil pressure gauges. Looked at a bike with an Old Britts set up and noticed a bent in the front fender!
I contacted them about that and was told that if I had Progressive fork springs or if mine were worn that could happen. I like the way theirs is set up but I don't want to dent my fender either.
The prices are all over the place from around $115 to over $200, but what is the best? Are they all pretty much the same, I doubt it but I don't know.
What do you have and are you satisfied with it?

I am sure that the RGM unit is just fine but I like the Old Britts unit and there is no fender interference on mine.
