Are you saying that you're hoping to see oil appear from the shells and the oil hole on the big end eye, and it isn't ?
If you're pumping oil in, it's got to be going somewhere and those are the only routes. However, with thick oil it's not going to be easy to get it in. You should have lubed the shells on assembly and filling the crank is intended to ensure that they don't run dry after start up.
What sort of pump are you using and how is it connected ?
