So I decided it was finally time to retire the fiberglass tank on my 750. After a lot of thought I settled on a color scheme and sent the new steel tank and a set of fiberglass side panels off to Brent Budgor for painting. The parts arrived today. I'm very pleased, to say the least. Brent does great work!

You guys may remember that somewhat unusual steel tank I posted about a while ago:

Well, here's what it looks like now:

New Paint!

I wanted a color similar to the Fireflake Royal Blue on the old tank, but metallic not metalflake. And I wanted something a little different and more unique than the usual 850 lining. I think it turned out pretty good.

Previously, the bike had the blue tank and black sidepanels. A friend in our club nicknamed my bike "The Bruiser" because it was black and blue, "like a bruise". Not any more! It's all one color now, as it should be.

Looks great Debby!
I remember that bike from way back when.
It's come a long ways.

I'm biased, Blue is my favorite color.

It's a good look, I like the "D" lining motif.

Hey Debby, Nice looking tank. When I picked mine up, I told the my painter to give me something to put a nick in it with and get it over with. He had a laugh and three days later, sure enough, Let us know when it happens.Phil

Gday Deb, plenty bloody flash mate! Looks great in blue, good choice too in metalic, metal flake is YUK, should leave that to speed boats.
