Invisible Patterns paint protection - headlight lens

I have the full invisiblepatterns paint protection kit on my bike including the headlight lens. I have not had any issues with the headlight lens. What I do get sometimes, and I do not know if this is anything to do with the invisiblepatterns kit, is in very hot weather my clocks get condensation on the inside when parked up in the sun but this disappears very quickly once riding the bike.
Think the condensation is relatively common Ian, despite being closed units - they are not the best quality. I get it occasionally when humidity is high. Nowt to do with your clock PPF covers I suspect.

May have aother look at that full kit again, although I have some vulnerable areas covered on the Norton already.

Covered all forward facing panels with 3M PPF on my 990 ADV many years ago - 110k km on and she still looks new. No brainer on a new bike IMO.

Type C Kev - Chronoclassic only.

Would be good to know why Stu fiited this and not the Chronoclassic 2. Maybe the ‘2’ wasn’t available at the time, or there may be other reasoning/considerations.

Thanks, that's the feedback I was looking for about the headlight lens. I'll keep an eye on the clocks. I haven't noticed condensation on the Norton(s) but I do get it on the ThruxtonR clocks which don't have the film fitted. Similarly, it disappears quite quickly.

I found it harder to do a good job with the film on my new 961, which is black. The black shows up any imperfections much more than the silver.

Yep, hadn’t looked closely enough Kev - cursory search seemed to show options. Incorrectly assumed that the mount on Stu’s bike was Motogadget - from the Domiracer apparently. Little or no chance of getting one of those, although you might contact Stu.

I’m sure you’ve seen these - the Chronoclassic has its own mounting cup which interfaces with three universal mounting plates. Should’nt be too difficult to utilise the most suitable if selecting that model.

Chronoclassic 2 - similar cup but with only one universal mounting plate. Again, pretty simple task to bend, drill, cut,

There’s also some bike specific mounting plates that may fit of could be modified to do so. Nothing specifically for the 961 unsurprisingly. These are for Beemers. Not ideal but shouldn’t present too much difficulty.

Any info on the electric's would be useful👍.
Starter for 10.....can share the hi-res file if it's helpful. I'm focussing on the Chrono 2 as that's the one I fancy but could easily replicate for the other model.

Plan is to purchase a connector that plugs into the loom, run short wires from that to connect up as per the diagram. That way I'm not chopping the loom....obviously.

Good stuff Kev, the file would be great. Electrics; not my strongest suit! May have to get the interface cable knocked up over here.

Keep us up to date with progress👍.

Maybe I’m wrong, but can’t a round sealed beam glass bulb be fitted in the stock steel housing?
In the past I considered a JW speaker headlight but never followed through with it. But it’s a direct swap.

I reckon I've answered my own question about the PPF over the headlight lens, and whether it would cause the lens to overheat and warp. I've done a couple of 170 mile trips with no problems and it was on hot sunny days as well.
