New Owner / first time Norton

Hi,

Just thought I’d jump on board.

Purchased a Norton Dominator SS and absolutely love it.

Came from a 2018 Ninja ZX10R KRT thinking I’ve had enough of race rep bikes, although I toyed with Truimph Bonnies and a Thruxton I’ve the past couple of years.

Can’t ride far without someone drooling over it.....

The only negative point I have is that the clutch is very very heavy. Has anyone thought the same or better yet found a solution ?

Meet up with some of the other owners and make sure that you don't have a problem with the clutch or lever . If you set it to position 4 , it will be closer to the handlebar and easier to pull ? There may adjustable aftermarket levers that could improve the leverage as well .

Look out for a California 961 special near u ,Sixthelephant very near

Yeah, apparently there's another blue stripe Cali like mine about 8 miles up the road
as well, common as muck

isnt the gearbox oil seperate on these bikes - possibility of heavy clutch through lack of gearbox lubrication?

Yes , separate . It could be that his clutch pull is normal for a 961 though ? I thought his bike was new maybe not . That's why if he meets up with some of the others they can compare clutch pulls ? Certainly check oil level in the gearbox for sure.

Make that 4 x 961,s I am down by Oswestry about 35 miles away 2016 Mk 2.
Better get the camping gear out.
