I have let the team down. But it is Easter and today I have been looking after Jenny who is recovering from a recent minor operation. She is very sore and I have to push her around secured upright to my furniture moving trolley with an ockie strap.
What a sight!

Tomorrow, whilst you are all enjoying yourselves in church, I will get the photo transmissions underway. Even my brother is screaming at me to do it. Of course, he could do it himself and I am tempted to point this out.
But then, what are big brothers for?

Promise, they are coming.

Phil

Got to keep this thread going while we wait for the prints to come back from the developers.

At last, finally.
I worked it out.
Only thing missing from original that I noted was missing electric start sticker on side cover.
And amal (vomit) carbi's. :D

The love of my life.
Jenny asked which one?
I only had to pause for an answer and that was enough.
I was beaten so hard I couldn't ride the second love of my life for a week!

I'll send more soon Cheshire. My brother is sending them way over size and I have to
"shrink" them to be accepted by the forum.

Jenny doesn't really beat me. I begged her to, but when she realised I liked it, she stopped immediately!

Phil, what can I say. I'm so proud of you.
Jenny looks like a "j"em. Tell her I said hi.

What a great looking bike. WOW. As far as the color, again, WOW.

Phil Yates, You are the man. Bravo!

One more question. What is your general locality.

Now let's get going on that avitar.

Mittagong. Southern Highlands of New South Wales.
Fantastic area in which to ride a Commando.

I moved here late 99 with the ex wife.
I actually saw her yesterday by chance, first time in years.
That was enough for me!
I hit 7000 in every gear racing home!!

Some very early stuff.
My Dominator 99 in 1971. No helmets until August that year by law.
This machine started it all for me at age 17.

And one just for pete.v
My original 72 BRG Combat.
And my original Norton Girl.

At 16 yrs of age, I was already a goner. I read every piece of information on Nortons I could find and waited
three terrible months to be old enough to get my L plates. Then I was gone and never got off a Norton again.

Here's a question, where you been all this time. Were you aware of this forum and just a lurker or have you just stumbled upon it?

One more.
I guess i can understand the 200+ post in less than a month, you're just geeked to be here, right?

Just stumbled upon it Pete. Jenny locked me in the study one day for some misdemeanour I can't recall. It
proved a blunder on her part. I found you happy guys in here and when I didn't come out for three days she
came looking for me, whip in hand! Now she locks me OUT of the office, when she is here.
So I go and fiddle with the Norton instead. She is beside herself with concern and actively seeking outside help for me.

But it won't do anything!

Certainly not a geek pete. I don't even know what a geek is. And I only discovered I had a computer when I looked in
the box on the floor.

Wonderful things, aren't they?

Geeked may have been the wrong term. It's like being overly excited. Stems from excessive cocain use, but that's not my impication.

1971 Sunday Afternoon Line Up at the Yates residence

Next to me is Tony with his horrible 3 pot Kwaka. He later bought a Ducati 750.
Leon owned a lawn mower on two wheels, known as a Bridgestone 90. Later tragically drowned in NZ.
We taught Cathy to ride the Batam, when she wasn't on the back of my Norton.
Michael had a Russian thing called a Voskod. It measured speed in kilometres per yak. He later became a Communist.

I have no photos of the butchered Atlas. I think we had already buried it in the backyard!

Overly excited??
You are confusing me with Hobot.
I'm just filling in some spare time. Actually bored fartless!

And I promised some photos as were demanded. So here they are.
Don't give me this overly excited shit, you sad excuse for a Combat Pilot.
Send some pics, Top Gun :)
