So....... do you have a pump, in your catchcan connected to a "timed" relay ???.. Wow, if so you probably got a first there maybe ....

To hold the clutch centre firmly, I had a lock tab washer and nut and the clutch would rock even when correctly tightened.
I made a washer to fit between the lock tab and the nut to spread the load to the clutch centre rather than just deform the centre of the lock tab washer.
I have since discovered that later Nortons came with a washer fitted to do the same. It is NORTON COMMANDO CLUTCH CENTRE NUT WASHER OEM 06-3447 (re: Andover model & part search). You may already have this washer fitted but if not it will improve the clamping pressure applied to the clutch centre.
I am trying to source a G8 flanged nut to replace my handmade washer and nut anyway. Will let you all know when successful.

I don't use the soft tab washer but instead use a thread lock and i have drilled the nut for lock wire which is looped through the holes in the clutch center.

i'm not clear on this part?

And then cut square while tightened on the main shaft they will be used on .

If you have a lathe , you can make them .
I made a couple out of titanium :

The flange does not bear on the raised part of the clutch centre , but further out . ( if yo see wat I mean ..)
Titanium is 'springy' enough , so no tab washer needed :

If you want to limit clutch wobble , the clutch centre must run absolutely true to begin with .

I put the flange nut on the mainshaft in my lathe and then cut it straight , so that it will hold the clutch centre square .
Is that clear ?

( old Atlas shaft , demo purpose only ..)

The bottom run of the primary chain looks as tho it is stiffening up (kinked)

Please check it before reassembly

Not good eyes just over 40 years looking at bloody chains.

Triplex was never technically a good chain in this application for several
reasons....too boring for here, that is why I use the Merc deisel duplex,
also too boring for here.

If it had been around and the Germans would have made it in the correct
length (very unlikely), it would be more widely used.

Have a good Christmas all of you.
