What is the best front disc brake upgrade available for the MK111 ?
MF
How much money you got?? :D Norman White has a good looking set up, Don Penders dual disc kit or single disc 6 pot caliper one for that matter look to me to be great kits too, and of course Matt's cNw brembo kit appears to be top notch! I don't have the green for any of those yet,...... but....one day maybe

Bang for buck, you can re-sleeve your master cylinder, fit Ferodo premium pads,(less than $150) and the brake works well. On the other hand, if you have a few large to spend, CJ has it covered. There are a few threads relating to the re-sleeve on here already including a pretty easy DIY kit from Madass140.

I have tried several front brake upgrades in the past. Matt's cNw upgrade is the best i have come across.

Matt's CNW Brake System is what I have on my Mk III and I don't see how it could be improved upon!

I didn't think Colorado Norton works had a disc brake kit for the Mark III. Do you have any photos of yours?

I think there is no difference in the front MKIII kit and MKII kit. The length of the brake line may be the difference.

The front brake on my 72 was flipped to the left side simply by swapping the slider. The MKIII and MKII sliders are the same part number also, only designated left and right and right and left.

Rear is another story, of course. CNW curtainly has that covered.

If you put the kit on the left side you can use you stock fender stay on the lower back and leave the upper off as Jerry's shows. That is sort of why I change mine around. It looks better to me that way. I also had to swap the rotation of the tire.

This is of course the RGM kit.
