Cool shot my friend Chris Fertnig from Stills Motion Content photography got of Bill and myself working in my garage.

So, here we are. I really can't stress enough my gratitude, admiration and respect for Mr. Herb Becker. Herb has been instrumentaal in this build, and has offered his experience, wisdom and generally good nature to this project from the very start, beginning with a jovial conversation we had in his garage on a winter night in 2014. For this project, Herb stressed that we will need RPM to get where we need to go. For this, he built a "short stroke" 750 by de-stroking (amongst other tricks) an 850 motor. That, combined with the FullAuto Technologies head should get us in the ballpark. Anyway, here it is.

Well, once the engine was ready, final assembly went pretty quick. Here it is, ready to rock.

This project had lots of help from other great people as well. First and foremost, my friend Bill Egan; another great friend, Grant Schwartz from Schwartz welding in Elmira, Ontario; Town Moto, Joker Machine, Lowbrow Customs, Forest and Forest in Ayr, Ontario; and Tim Spiegelberg.

My absolute favorite picture was taken by Doug MacRae. Thanks Doug!

Very nice. Certainly looks like it should run well, and you can't go wrong with Herb as an engine builder. Which class are you planning to run in, 750-M-PG? Do you plan to run in the SCTA meets or the AMA meet at Bonneville, or some other events?

I'm sure you already know the current records, but for others who may be curious, the records in this class are 137.872 mph (Moto Guzzi) with SCTA and 159.903 mph (Triumph Triple) with AMA. That 159 mph record was set by Tom Mellor back before the rules on streamlined seat and tail section were tightened up, and he had the benefit of a more streamlined bike than is now allowed. It could be tough to crack. Alwlays good to have a challenge, right? It could be worse. Tom also kicked the AMA 750-MPS-PG record up to 180.317 mph.

Hope to see you on the salt in 2017. I'm planning to run my Norton in the 750-M-PF class for both SCTA and AMA events.

Ken

All I can say is WOW. Truly impressed with this level of skill and craftsmanship. best of luck on the salt. Oh, and that suit IS the BOMB!

Sounds great on the dyno! Dyno Don from Stay Tuned Systems ran us through the Dynojet. Super happy with the numbers! I'll stick with the Rolls Royce HP description: "Adequate".

And here we are. The build is done, the testing and tuning are finished, the bike is dialed and we're ready to go. ECTA Ohio Mile; Wilmington, here we come! M-PG 750/4 (Modified Production, Pushrod, 750cc/4 stroke)

Here we go! The ECTA standing mile record for M-PG750/4 class is 130.1 MPH. Let's see how we do!

Tune in tomrrow to see how we did!

Oops. I missed the significance of the ECTA in the title, so I assumed you were building for Bonneville. ECTA looks like a nice place to run, but it's on the wrong side of the continent for me.

Ken

No wheel spin on the salt, no high elevation problems or salt condition problems and ....no salt to eat into everything it touches.
It does have some advantages over Bonneville, too bad it's so far away.

Great looking build, should be able to get the 130.1 at 1000 ft above sea level. Sure sounded good on the Dyno.
Good luck to you may the speed gods be with you! Please share the Dyno numbers right after you tell us you broke the record!
