The bike was built by Les Whiston , they made a gearbox main shaft to fit the commando clutch that is all I know about it.

I see English heritage has put a plaque up for Fast Eddies dyno tester..

Hope I'm not 'touching a nerve' here aulblue ?!

Tis all rather tongue in cheek, donchaknow.

The main reason for posting is to wind up Sam!

Actually, I had a Neil Beadling built, 988cc, BSA R3 motor in a Harris chassis, that put out low 80s RWHP on the same dyno that my Commando puts out low 60s. That bike was stupidly fast.

So, as I said, all rather tongue in cheek!

I think it was me who touched a raw nerve.!

Only a spot of convivial loquaciousness old boy. Anyway I'm quite fond of your verbosity but no tongues ,in cheek or otherwise thank you very much .

Now, more tea vicar?

Of course, my dyno man is keen that next time, we run it on both cylinders...

Anyway, Touched a Nerve? ... Look what you've gone and made me do (920 engine build waffle thread)...

Your fault Sir.

Where do I send the bills to?
