Yep it's funny
I built this one for a mate of mine in 1991 and I ended up buying it off him it's a 1980 r100rs built to look like an old BMW from the 50s
And now BMW are making one! Took them a long time to catch up
I doubt if there version has a Harley deuce tank , zephyr forks,xt 600 front hub,thunderace disc ,grimeca calliper etc etc though

Can you share some info about the BMW?
1) Rigid frame ?
2) Seat suspension ?
3) Is the speedo on the tank ?

Yes it's a rigid frame
It has two shocks fitted to the seat
The speedo is in the tank
The fork ears are BSA
The headlight is Lucas
Rear mudguard is BSA
The frame and shaft have a 4" stretch
The handlebar clamps are from a Ural
The shaft runs inside an old megaphone
The heads are twin plugged
Etc
