Forum Name Change?

Have we dropped "Classic" from the forum title, or is it just my IT playing up (again)?
 
Maybe " Antique " the old girls are in their 50 's now...most of um anyway:)
 
Yes, it has been changed.

It used to be:
Norton Commando Motorcycles (Classic)

The description has remained the same though:
Classic Norton Commando Motorcycles.

Yes some things are changing.
No need to say "Classic". We know the other one is "Modern" as it says it there.

Also, I think I had better create a "Modern" BSA forum and am Thinking about "Modern Triumph Forum" too Thoughts?

I'd leave it alone personally but I suppose you should have modern triumph and classic triumph
And modern BSA and classic BSA
But where do you stop? Would it serve any purpose?
I know you have modern and classic commando because this is a Norton site
And it's the Norton sections that have the most hits
Not so long ago there were people wanting a MK3 section! What the hell is that about?

You are the boss Jerry and also more knowledgeable about this website business than me . Not trying to evade the question - I think if you feel it a good idea than go for it.

I am going to re-organize it a bit. There wont be a MK3 forum as that is under Norton Commando

For now I am only renaming and organizing a couple of areas to make it more logical. You will see little changes.

I was thinking of having a whole new category called "Modern Classics" or something similar and putting the retro bikes forums there, except the "Modern Norton", which can stay where it is. Still thinking about it. I am always trying to improve things, its like my bikes. Becomes obsessive very fast.

If what I have seen in the last couple of days on Facebook following the Mahindra BSA Gold Star launch is anything to go by.....don't do it!

I happen to like it, I think they have done a decent job within modern limitations, but the ignorance and sheer stupidity expressed by some regarding the launch and 'violation of history', 'fake' etc, etc.....will not add to this great forum. Sometimes it is best to do what you do, well.

It would be nice if this remained a place we come as an antidote to some of the other total crap we see elsewhere.

I agree with you. I have decided not to change much, just a few little tweaks on layout and wording that have been bugging me for a while. I am not adding or changing any forums. and I am moving some stuff that gets in the way up under the resources menu, for example the "Links" page. Just tidying up a bit. Anyone got any other ideas that would be good to have here at the forum?
