O.K., I suppose this could have been placed anywhere on the site, due to it's importance, I'm
placin' it where I most often frequent. I implore all of You to take the 4:38 seconds to view this
YouTube. Has the thought ever crossed Your mind, no matter which brand of 2 wheels You
need to finagle in an out of anywhere You might as well sell the damn thing as much of a
struggle rolling it around it is for just Your "Selfa" (cheap Steely Dan 'insert' ;)) ?
I've utilized the walking technique without thinking about it, but the others...
Life-changing, ? You tell me.
Harley dis-likers, please don't let the title keep You from watching.

When I attempted to insert the link in this post, it told me video is unavailable, so You will just need to type in

"Hunting Harleys, How to push Your motorcycle." On YouTube.

Oh, maybe as good a time as any, my NAME CHANGE. (As long as the powers that be approve !) 1977years will now be known as "Pup". A moniker
given me from a pal-mate I've known for some 40+ years. He still rides, alot, as we all can continue to, a little longer with this information in the video ? Thank You to all, I've mentioned before, the importance
of this site, it's huge to me as there isn't another Norton anywhere close to me that I'm aware of. This Interweb
thing, I think it just might catch on....;)

For some reason it says Video Unavailable

I can see that a bike with fixed floorboards would be tough to move around while astride, especially for anyone with short legs.
A bike with fixed pegs also isn't great.
Things change when the pegs fold out of the way. Then the astride position gives the greatest control.
A friend just turned 82 . He is a lifelong motorcyclist. He recently dropped a couple of bikes while pushing from the beside
position after stumbling and losing balance. He is about 5'7 on a good day.
He now only moves the bikes while astride. All of his bikes have folding footpegs.

I had to push the Commando about a quarter mile to a freeway off-ramp a couple of years back. Glad it was the Norton!

Perhaps others have noticed that our bikes seem to get heavier every year. ;)

Harley has a wonderfully low centre of gravity. Try this on a brit bike and less successful. In the garage, I only move them
sitting on them...not enough room to use his method.

I hate pushing bikes with my screwed up back, usually call for help to get a flatbed (luckily have not broke down for a while). I had a blow out on my E-bike on the weekend and had to push it about a mile home. That was not good either.

Damn. L-4, and L5 involvement here. Constant sciatica left leg. Gettin in the wind helps. Major bumps DON'T. . The lower center of gravity, being what gravity is, absolutely helps immensely when positioning
my Superglide round the shop.

Yep same here L4/5. I hit a ford capri backing out of a driveway at high speed when young and broke it. Now nasty arthritis.

Jeeez. .... this gettin' old,,, it ain't for sissie's.....:(

Pushed my xs1100 about 2 miles when I ran out of petrol
It was fairly level road until I got to the garage and the last 20 yards up the ramp to the pumps nearly broke me
Couldn't do it now

We have CAA here with the M/C package … so far have only needed it when one of our 4 Wheel vehicles have had issues , I have just adapted my bikes to my new loss of strength , down to just 2 , Duke is 407lbs , DR650 366lbs … so far so good

I called the RAC out about five years ago, on a Bank Holiday weekend.

To quote Diana Ross: 'I'm still waiting.......'

Not sure if the rumours are true in these all inclusive, diversity driven times we live in, but was told a single male will always be moved to the back of the queue....

Old age and loss of strength has been my excuse for building the two lightweight bikes.
The other day she did ask how the feeble OAP was going to continue kickstarting the 1360.
I have no answer except possibly drugs.

Yes last summer Jo’s Jeep suffered no start at fuel pump on Cape Breton Island , tow arrived loaded Jeep and left for 3.5 hr drive to Truro , left Jo sitting in parking lot on a lawn chair ( covid rules) , I hustled up and got her …. Month later she came home with new Jeep , the no start issue had been shift linkage a $20 fix but she was done …..

Heck, I'm 71 snd I push my Commando up onto my Harbor Freight lift table from the side.

The secret is getting some momentum before you encounter the ramp. Not for the feint of heart.

Once the front wheel rolls into the chock it will stay upright sucurely enough to allow the tie downs to be applied.
