You sound like a negative Nancy. New EV bikes will be here this fall.

Not EVs, I mean real motorcycles.
There will be more ICE before EV for sure. Which is why Gladrags claim that the Atlas range was killed off in order to focus on EVs still pisses me off!

Making EV motorcycles is a sure fire way to get broke at present !

Yes, their core business should still be ICE vehicles.
They can take their time with the EVs. Nobody really wants them.

I converted one of my Ariel 3’s into an EV using an electric motor from a Sinclair C5 back in the mid 90’s. Took it out for its maiden voyage, put it back in the shed , ticked that off on my “to do” list and moved on. Great idea, but motors and batteries weren’t really up to the job then. Perhaps it is time I dug it out and fitted a modern motor, controller and batteries. I could stick a Norton badge on it and pretend it is the “new” model?

I know a designer/engineer who's been involved in 3 different motorcycle EV start ups. All 3 have failed. I honestly think he's just fleecing them one by one at this stage.

New Vid from Norton / Hedon... they look nice enough. but far too expensive. While below is a short vid on a visit to their workshop, very much small scale. They buy in the shells, they don't say where from. Doubt they are as good as an Arai or Shoei..

I believe the shells are made in China.

Hang on one cotton-picking minute hybridracer - you actually admit to owning not one Ariel 3 'Granny Killer' bikes but more than one....... Then you take the power plant from one of the most feeble and unsuccessful EVs on the planet and fit it into one... And now you are thinking of replacing it with some more powerful kit. I think you need to ask your nurse to up your meds mate......

The link to purchase the Helmets doesnt work for me. Can anyone else confirm the link is broken? Norton says it works for them.

They have a long way to go.

They are way too expensive and the range is way too little.

And if we’re talking value for money, then what about the broader level value proposition ??

Carbon dioxide makes up 0.04% of the atmosphere.

It is claimed that only 11% of that is due to human emissions.

I can’t imagine what tiny 0.00X%… of that 11%…of that 0.04%… is due to motorcycles !

Anyone who feels environmentally guilty about enjoying their ICE motorcycle needs to study more mathematics…
There was a show about this... Long way round, long way down, long way to charge... Can't remember which one... :)

It is not that crazy, they were so bad that very few were sold and I bought them as novelty items and now they are valuable, just like the C5. Also just right for the 20mph limit here in Wales.
Search through the Classic Bike magazine from around 1997 and you will find me and my best Ariel 3 featured (my 15 mins of fame!).

Nice helmets. You can see where the money is in their hand built nature (time is money) - but I reckon the exclusivity comes mainly from the price!! If ya can afford a V4SV/CR you can afford a Hedon helmet to match it I guess!

If we plebs want a similar aesthetic, there’s a few Bell Bullit models that fit the bill for much less moolah. Off with the Bell, on with a metallic Norton logo - Bob’s your uncle , fanny’s yer aunt!!😁👍

Ruby helmets used to be the supreme

As does this Arai Dark Citizen - I have the older version (same colour scheme) that’s now retired.

Nice lid; works very well with the black/gold pinstripe 961- Union jack’s a bonus of course.

Remember seeing the 125th anniversary images on the Norton site - below is the photographers site covering the shoot.

Worth a quick look - a few nice images.

Never heard of The Veloce Club - some nice gear though.
