Looks like those Hedon helmets we’ve all seen are due out imminently.

Expensive but certainly classy.

Hedon don’t even appear on the SHARP safety testing site, so I have suggested to them (Sharp) that they test them.

Don’t need to be by law I don’t believe Cliff, as long as they meet the relevant helmet standard (ECE 22/06/ DOT).

The Hedon helmets look top quality to me - the way they are made/ finished. Ya get what you pay for I guess. But with a lifespan of 5 years the cost benefit analysis doesn’t really work for me. If you’re paying 40K + for a V4SV though?

No, there is no legal requirement, but it would be nice to know how they perform in comparison to other brands. My own personal feeling is that they are expensive hipster style accessories.

Does anybody know why the earlier Donny 961’s had an offset exhaust hanger fitted on the left hand side (no idea whether other 961’s have this). This makes the LH can sit further out than the RH, on my bike. Just the ‘hand built’ nature?

The exhaust is underslung pretty much centrally to the bike, so why the offset? I’m gonna flatten/straighten the left hanger and equalise the mounting distance.

My 2013 has the bendy bracket on the left side but the offset is pretty much the same on both sides. The top of the bracket isn't flush with the frame.

Yep they are generally all over the place. Still not clear to me why that LH hanger is angled. I can see from my bike that if I straightened it the cans would sit evenly.

Another example - a hand built foible I reckon!

Latest from Motobob.

Terrible news for CCM, better news for KTM, no news for Norton - beyond another reference to a smaller capacity bike for the local market (@ 18 min).

No real business comparison between CCM and Norton, but the demise of CCM is further proof I suppose that your market needs to be international if you want to survive.

Always had a bit of a thing for the CCM Spitfire - hopefully not their complete demise.
