Facebook Fodder

Norton will bring out a TVS built single to go up against the Triumph 400s, but they will be more expensive than the RE and not really the same market.
Motobob’s latest confirms this (well covered) rumour, albeit with scant detail of course. Rather alarming date thrown out there though - if it’s accurate!!?

You’d have to hope that the new models from Solihull would be realeased prior to that timeline. Would make sense to me - don’t see the first new Norton to be introduced being a budget special from out of India.

16.58 if ya wanna go straight there.

Latest from our very own Bevel Head. Much more of an owners review than a none owners overview.

Worth a watch - unless you’ve had enough of SP reviews, in which case don’t!🙃

Posted by Cam on FB!!

An AI generated image of course, but accurate in one respect - we know the 961 certainly ain’t bulletproof!!

An old problem on the new bike - albeit with different failure mode.

Worth noting (and checking) for SP owners.

Michael’s finished Dommie from FB. Lots of changes/mods made here - lots of money spent! Certainly not a bike you would walk past in the street!!

FB link only though. I’ll post if it lands on YouTube.

Hmm There's a point when you start blinging it when it sort of loses the traditional Norton look and becomes a modern bike. You start comparing it to, say a Diavel. If your Commando was parked next to it yours would definitely get more attention.

I’m on the fence with this - some stuff I like and some not so much. Big Dommie fan but wouldn’t be my choice of colour. Each to his own though. Like to see it with the megaphones fitted!

Reckon it’s likely to be much more effective in the flesh. Detail looks top drawer - even the crest on the rear of the seat and front of tank is gold leaf under the lacquer! Need to see it up close to appreciate I suspect.

Can’t get the FB video link to work - apologies to none FBers! It’s well worth a view!

I'm not sure I see the point in hotting up a pushrod twin like that.
If it's REAL power you want then put your money down for a Kawasaki Ninja H2 - 228hp or a gaggle of others with similar performance.
The 961 is a pleasant enough bike - and I can see the point in making them custom "Cafe Racers" but they are a parallel twin of ageing design, not rocketships.
Next thing we'll see is a supercharged Citroen 2CV with wide wheels and slicks!

...okay, okay... going back into my corner now.

Who knew that Donington had turned out a few ‘Dominator Street’ variants? If I once did I’d certainly forgotten.

A large dollop of ‘F#*k You’ to the refined mass market - but with added practicality!

Possibly my new all time favourite Norton. I want one! A lot!!

PS. Notwithstanding the fact that the owner should be publicly flogged for not immediately sorting Mickey Mouse out!
