Will this crankcase sump plug fit my Mk2a 850 cc 1974 crankcase ?

I think I used one of them on my 750 with 850 cases no prob .

Should do. I got mine from RGM. I notice its being sold by Nortonbits which is Norvil so it maybe easier to order straight form Norvil. People have complained of problems if the part needs returning. Personaly i would get one from RGM as i never had a problem with them.

Nortonbits is a method of disguising the true source is Norvil, the legal requirement in the UK is for the sales advert to include the registered company name eg

Norvil Motorcycles Ltd trading as Nortonbits

FYI- there are two different versions out there depending on the vendor. I have yet to buy and compare both but that is something I will do in the near future.

another bolt hole to leak from ? As dirty as a norton motor runs I'd like to think you'd want to clean that so called filter out each time. I do ........

Use dowtie washer in stead of copper washer to seal an you will have no leaks.

The magnetic plug will stop ferrous particles going through the oil pump scavenge gears prolonging the pump life.

I will get one of these by spring time. That big honkin plug is a real pain.
Brake kleen and rag will take care of any leaks.
