Can you explain what you mean by this?

There are 3k people dead in my city, we are begging for help and the president says the federal medical supply is "ours" what does that mean?

I hope this does not happen to your city. I hope your loved ones don't die.

Why did the president say this was a Hoax?

Personally, I’d prefer Shrub Bush to Trump for a president right now, given those two were my only choices. Both incompetent, but Bush was a much better liar.
 
Do you remember Trump’s campaign promise that he would make so many good deals we’d be sick of good deals?Haven’t seen any good deals but we are sick.

Today, Michigan stole third place numbers from California and I am scratching my head as to why. California is China's doorstep into to America and California numbers are nowhere near the numbers of N.Y. I have loved ones in both cities and I am sorry for our losses. I am not aware of the statement you refer to, federal medical supply is "ours" and cannot reply.

As for the subject of calling C19 a "hoax", the word was taken out of context when used to describe how the virus will be used his opponents for their next impeachment topic. Unfortunately but as usual, this was never explained by the media. Take care!

We witnessed the deaths of a deranged criminal in Ferguson and a habitual criminal in Baltimore lead unjust riots and discourse, ultimately leading to the killing of four innocent police officers in Dallas. I have no evidence of Obama stepping in, calling for calm and control.
 
Regarding CA vs NYC situations, CA pop density is lower but I believe they also acted swiftly when WA started showing the outbreak. They implemented a state wide shutdown to get pop to self isolate. Starting to show the benefits. NYC took longer to act, had a much more rapid uptick likely to higher density and public transit etc.

Totally understand that sentiment and I respect your opinion, thanks for answering me.

Am I right in assuming you believe that if the President has the ability to potentially save American lives he should do everything in his power to save those lives?

- I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. You don't need to respond directly, these internet back and forths are getting a little tired. We desperately need federal help and we are not getting it. This is a matter of life and death. Stay safe.

Haven't looked into the Jared statement and don't know the federal to state processes so can't comment at this point. I do understand a hospital ship pulled into NY and LA harbors this week to help alleviate hospitals, businesses have been re directed for manufacturing of ventilators and being sent to you. I'll bet more is happening and need more proof the president refuses to help. Is it true, the city has ventilators stock piled not in use? I believe the president loves this country and it's people. I do know the country was not ready for this even though it had been warned and trained for such an event but failed to heed warning. We were also forwarned emergency stockpiles were low for years now. Not saying much but so far our country is fairing better than most and I believe that is because we were so strong at the time it happened.

A Politician is nothing more than a traveling medicine man, he'll sell you anything to make you feel better, most will take the buy. It's so nice to see a non politician in charge

No nation wide strategy, self isolation requirement like most other major countries. Are you not aware the US now has over 25% of worldwide cases, 7k+ deaths and rising at rates faster than Italy, Spain , and Wuhan? That is shocking to me.

Saw an interesting pair of graphs depicting what happens when regions do not restrict population interactions at the same time, doing sequentially instead. The overall case numbers are many times higher and the total time to knock down the spread more than doubles. This is exactly what is happening across USA right now, with a patchwork of states reacting or not reacting.

We know how this will turn out and how to affect it, yet no national guidance. Shameful.

Totally underwhelmed by Boris' 'letter' received today. Unless you've been down a hole or in a coma for the past month there's little (if anything) in there that we wouldn't have heard already.
Missed a trick not printing it on softer paper, mind! Can't say I'll be waiting with bated breath for Lizzie's pearls of wisdom either, nothing against her (her brood need a good sorting, IMHO) but I can second guess it already...
 
I just read that by adding two layers of blue shop towel sewn into to tight-fitting homemade masks, they would filter 95% of all airborne particles. Not a substitute for N95 masks, but still better than cotton-only, which filters 30% at best.
 
I wonder if that true ... if so shop towels will be next target of the TP brigade ... .....heading out soon to local distillery to get hand sanitizer ... we must enter separately , so we can get 325ml each , one bottle per customer , shortage in bottles , duh
