Most of know there is a difference in 750 and 850 frames and 750 and 850 triple trees.

My question is, why did Norton rake the frame and then de-rake the triple trees on the 850?

Why, why, why?????? Enquiring mind...
 
While the modifications resulted in the wheelbase staying the same, the end result did change the steering geometry, and the reason for the change was to increase high speed stability.
