Back on the Norton!

Promise of sunshine so, chain oiled and tensioned, tank filled and off for a blast. Moor road out, coast road back! She revs eagerly, shifts gear smoothly and handles a dream, what's not to like! Here's hoping for a good summer.
Middle young'ns last football match of the season, in the next County, can see the town across the river mouth but nearest bridge a fair way inland so use of motorways, the long way round, to see how she fairs at cruising speeds tried. Steady as a rock and minimal vibes at 4000 rpm, feels like she'd be happy at that all day!

Out for a tootle over the Moors yesterday, back via the Cleveland Hills and completed with a fast, curvy A road home. A bit lumpy when on the B roads but with a clear, smooth and bendy A road ahead and riden like I'd nicked it, whoaaaaa. Definitely true to Sport being on the badge!

I am in the process of testing the Belray Sport Transmission fluid in the trans/primary of the 961. I remember Cliffa tried it , didn't like it and quickly changed back. But I will give it a deeper dive.
Ok , I have done about 220 miles on the BelRay Sport Trans fluid. There is a difference to the clutch operation , it is not like running motor oil in there. This formulation seems to effect the clutch plate friction and some may call it grabby . BUT , do not turn away yet ! This was the first outing , this fluid must be allowed to work its way into the clutch pack because the clutch operation keeps getting better. I can say now that my first impression is very positive and I will report back at the 500 mile mark .

I tried the Belray sports trans oil did not like it and it frothed up to much gone back to the original oil but a different make.

Just back from a weekend blast, took one of the Grandsons across to the Cabin, his first time on a road bike so steady away. Nicely surprised how it handles slowly, slowly. Back on my lonesome over the North Yorkshire Moors with the road almost to myself, nearest I'll get to flying me thinks. Running a dream!

Well it's that time of year, Norton to be laid up for the winter and CCM recommissioned! Well impressed with the 961 over the Summer, running well and no further issues. Might even add that the primary sounds guieter, happy days!
