Dave,

I find it interesting that someone asked if your bike was a Ducati, but I've had things like that happen before. Several years ago, my (now gone) '74 roadster was parked in front of my garage, and it plainly said "Norton" on the tank where anyone could read it. Someone from the neighborhood, who didn't know me and my affliction for things British, stopped, looked squarely at it, and asked "Is that an old Harley?"

BTW, bike looks super!

Nice bike

Mine is all yellow!!! yet I prefer alloy tanks. Laughed at you saying you dont have to fill up so much. It reminded me of a friend racing in the 6 hour classic endurance race in Spain on a Rickman Weslake 8 valve. I lent them my 7 1/2 gallon tank one of 2 built for endurance races in the 70's by RJM. Came back trashed!!! They only filled it to the top on race day & the surge of fuel & the weight had them off at the first corner. Try to be of help mutter mutter.
