I've been intrigued by the "is the frame stamped or isn't it debate ? "; mine is a '77 and all that is marked on the plate is '77' in the year box and the frame No. 850 335774,(with one of the globe stamp things before and after the 850 and after the number), in the ID box, there is no frame No. stamped on the headstock itself, unless it's under the plate itself. I know it's not been powder coated, and by the wear of the paint at certain parts of the frame I'm pretty sure that it is the original paint so it doesn't look like it's been covered over, maybe some were stamped and others weren't depending on what builder did the building of the bike.
To KSUWildcatFan good luck today , I'm sure there will be no probs!!!
