I will put the casing back on and tighten the clutch screw then lock nut it.
Incidentally how much pressure do I put on the clutch spring and do I put it in gear to lock it,it seems to go on forever when I tighten the screw.is this correct

Its like when you get a new tv set or stereo,. You set it up and the when you cant work it, you read the manual. We all do it don't we.
anyway. Get a F'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''g manual. or read it.

That would be your diaphragm spring turning.... and not the nut tightening. Stick a (large) flat screwdriver in one of the slots to counter hold it it.
