3 phase reg/rectifier.

Is it possible to use a 3 phase regulator/rectifier on a single phase alternator ?
How to connect the wiring ? or can I leave one of the wires of the reg/rect. disconnected ?

1. Yes
2. On the AC side you only use 2 or the 3 connectors leaving one connector free, any 2 connectors will do.

Yup.
Note you can also run a single phase alt with a three phase reg/rec. I did this for a season, connected as stated with one lead off the RR left unconnected. Now have a 3 phase stator and all leads connected.
