Basically what is being said is to enlarge my sprocket holes and insert poly bushings. simple and cheap.

Here's a couple pics of one with poly busings that I made a few years ago for my Jim Schmidt monoshock bike. This one is for a Marvic mag wheel, but the same idea is applicable to other wheels.

I made a similar one for my Commando PR, but unfortunately never took any pictures before I sold it.

On the other hand, I have to agree with Jim about whether they really add any benefit. I ran my featherbed racer with 750 Commando engine without a cush drive for over 20 years with no real problems. Personal choice, I guess.

Got both wheel laced up, mostly trued. now on to sealing the spokes and get the tires mounted. I stopped by my friends shop today, I can use his tire machine.

Top of the mountain's looking good Ludwig. Almost riding season. Oh and nice work on the cush drives guys.

So light and whispy looking and full of big ole holes, darn it I like it too!

Well 2 hours and $10 later I now have an ofset 24 tooth gear. The 24 tooth andover ones are $80+, and I would still need to trim it for my 520 chain. We will see how this one works for now.

Probably not, it's hard as hell right now. It's just a temporary measure at the moment anyway.

Well I finally did it. Pulled the trigger and made my first order to RGM. A Dave Taylor head steady and parts/upgrades for the transmission/clutch, and iso rubbers. after they arrive the only things left to purchase will be a cam, pistons, rods and some stainless fasteners. I think I have everything else major accounted for. I just need to sell some more of my old parts to cover costs. I'm getting my wheels done this week. So I should have a roller by the end of next week. I got side tracked and started working on my XS650 front brakes. Floating drilled rotors, Toki radial 4 pot calipers, remote resivoir master cylinder, the works. All for around $100. I just need to get some chunks of aluminum and make the adapter plates.

Dropped off my wheels today. should have them tight and true in a few days. Then mount the tires and assemble the front end, hopefully for the last time.

What carb/s are you going to use? Make sure you measure before ordering those filters, but you probably already know that.

I'm using 2 of the flatslides off of the gsxr, they are 36mm, I'll have right around 900cc's. They should work out well.

I pick up my completed wheels/tires tomorrow. All round and inflated. Then on to buttoning up the front end and figuring out rear wheel spacers.

I picked up my wheels today. I love them. Got the front end together. Now a little work on the swingarm, then on to rear shock mounting/oil tank fab.

Looking good 8)

PS You really should get a better camera so we can see you work in HD

I use my phone's 1.3MP so it dosn't take a week to upload. I'll use the good one for the next updates.
