I was at my IA renewal seminar yesterday. I ran into an old coworker there. HE has 2 1974 commandos. 1 he uses sparingly, and one basket case, about 90% complete with a title. As soon as the weather clears and he can make it out to the shed I'm going to look at the basket case and probably purchase it, if the price is right.

Almost finished the mods on my Yamaha. Then i'll have 1 running roadworthy bike. Now to re focus on the norton.

Been buisy with work and life. Not much happening on the Norton. I ordered a Pazon ignition for it today, $125 shipped plus I have 2 coils from the GSXR I parted out that work with it. Everything I have read has been positive about it. I'm going to drag the bike over to the shop soon and start welding tabs on the frame for links and footpegs.

Pazon arrived today. I'm very happy. Got my footpegs this week, started to fab up some mounts for them. Thanks Jean for the idea, it's going to work well. Also started on my link tabs. Other than a few little things, it's been quiet on the norton front. I have been selling parts rather briskly, only a few big $ items left. And most of the GSXR sold.

It's nice when you're able to clear out the spares bins to make a project progress.

It's the only way I can have a project. It needs to be self funding, or I have to stop spending on it.

This should be the last entry about this project for a while. I have taken parts and pieces from it to build up the 74 that I aquired. It's better to have 2 running bikes and a custom project than 1 running bike and 2 piles of parts. So for now my 72 combat and 73 Dunstall 850 will be getting all the attention and the custom wil be a collection of parts until the other 2 are done. It's too bad I spent all the money on custom wheels for them to sit now, but it looked good doing it.
