 Wonder where you got the idea to do THAT

Looks great, you are going a lot faster than I am, will it be done for next summer?

Jean

I'm hoping to have it on the road this summer, If I can sell enough of my parts to buy what I still need. Things will go faster once it warms up a little.

Busy week. I sold my barrel and front caliper/master cyl. I need to get the barrel cleaned and powdercoated this week, then I can get it out next week. I have someone coming over tomorrow to buy tach speedo boyer alternator and clipons. The account is growing $$$$. I just scores 2 Norris cams on the bay. And found affordable adjustable clipons to solve my fairing clearance issue. So onward to blasting cleaning and powdercoating. Then start in on the oil tank.

Sold my gauges, clions, boyer and alternator last night, woo hoo!!!!

I pulled the trigger and got the Acewell. It does everything I need. I also purchased my clipons. Now to find a fuel sending unit and get it in my tank. I've never had a bike with a fuel gauge. Just a hope and a prayer.

Darn!!! I was saving up for the gauges too. Glad you are back on track. I gotta sell some stuff myself so I can buy more junk. :D

I emailed Acewell with a few questions and got a prompt courtious informative reply. That sold me. And the youtube videos also.

I started in on my swingarm oil tank yesterday. SHould work out well with at least a 3 quart capacity. Light aluminum and down low weight.

Can't wait to see that :D

I love dual function features, but can't help grining thinking of future post about a unique oil weep from swing arm. Leave good notes on what parts to source to keep a future owner maintained.

Buell has been using the swingarm as an oil tank for awhile now, And the frame for the fuel. Now he has a few other things cooking up too.

Got my HID headlight working today. $60 for the setup. Reflector bulb housing, HI/LO bulb ballast and a cycle wiring harness. Dam is it bright. I'm still seeing spots. I'm happy.

Just had an apifony. I'm going to mount my oil cooler on the chain side of my swingarm and build an aluminum duct to funnel the air. I'll post a picture of the idea next week.

Spent an hour on my donor flatslides, got them 3/8" closer together. Only 1/4" wider than the intake ports. I can live with that. Intake ports are 2 3/4" c to c, carbs are 3" c to c.

Rough mock up, all the big pieces are in place, now on to making and fitting all the little stuff.

I really like your alternator. Now I have no excuses for not cutting down the output shaft on mine. I`ll forget about the Magneto and run a Pazon.
There should be a thumbs up smilie. I`d use it here.

Hold on, I thought it was powered from the timing side. Hmmm.... Where are you powering it from?

Will

I was originally going to mount it like a magneto, but have changed pland and now am going to use a belt and pulley on the inside of the front primary sprocket. It will be less work and work out better.

Thin timing belt drive off the inside of crank pulley is slickest way, if not using a primary case to slice up for belt run.

Is the rear end going to sit higher once fully mounted/adjusted?

I'm going to use a thin timing belt. The back will sit higher. It's propped up with a 2x4 right now until I mount the shock.
