I have underwear older than America!
So, the United States of America became a country in 1776. The United Kingdom in 1707? Sounds to me like compared to many things in Europe, the UK is quite young too :)

I lived in a tiny town in Germany with recorded history hundreds of years older than the UK and its name hasn't changed since 1182.

I'd always thought that Germany was old fashioned
Not young and progressive like our countries eh ! ;)

our local Norman village church goes back 912 years, and there was a Saxon church there before that. (Redbourn, Herts, UK) Wouldn’t it be historically fascinating if there were videos of services over that period!

I am proud to be Cornish and everywhere East of the Tamar is full of foreigners ;)

a shame there’s no provision for a Cornish flag only the Untied Kingdom. ;) (Correct spelling)
