By the markings & connections it looks like a flasher unit, but I’ve never seen one that small before.

That is indeed the flasher. Purple/white wire is part of the signal circuit.

We swap those out with an adjustable flasher

Do you know if there is an electrical schematic specific for the Dominator?
I believe the only one I've seen is for the 961 Commando

The diagrams floating around are good enough to get you through most issues as they have many common wires. But no I have not seen one mark specifically for Dommie
