You can change the voice to a make if you don’t like a woman telling you what to do.
Fantastic is the short answer. First gear is as factory, 4th ends up where 5th used to be, 2nd/3rd nicely spaced between and 5th is 27% taller. So you lose the buzziness on the road while still keeping reasonable off road low ratio's.How good is that wide ratio?
The beeline doesn't need to be in cell phone coverage to follow a route, it (i believe) uses the GPS chip in the phone rather than the cell signal. You do seem to need to be in coverage to do route planning though. The Beeline unit should be good for the UK but wouldnt be of much use here in Western North America.
There are vast areas of BC, Washington, Oregon, Montana and Wyoming that have no cell reception. These are the areas I prefer to ride in as the roads and scenery are fantastic and traffic is light.
Thanks FE, I had picked up this reference on the site before, but in you want to buy a matching pair and ship to Aus the cost is about 100 AUD. Don’t mind spending money on my Norton (ask the wife - of course the carbon wheels are essential love!) but I draw the line when a fixing to secure a Rizoma part is almost as expensive as the part itself! Call me a ’penny pincher’. In truth I will probably go down this route. Who would have thought finding a LH thread fastener would be so difficult! Called a lot of main fastener suppliers in Aus - nothing, hence my EBay quest!CNC Racing Universal Mirror Blanking Plug - M8 | CNC_MRA13_14_CP | Reactive Parts

There are many such options, few £ more than shitty looking Chinese industrial fasteners sure, but well worth it IMHO...
Thanks for posting us those pics of your ball-end Nigel.
I have a mag from last year at home with some reviews of phone mounts. I'll dig it out tonight. Seem to remember one of the best value/performance was;

I have ram mounts on two of my bikes with an old TomTom Rider V5 mounted. The TomTom was great in its day but needs a new internal battery, shuts down regularly when on the powered mount and is difficult to view due to glare. I will replace it with a new Tom Tom in due course. I also often use the GPS to quickly judge the severity of approaching bends - very useful. Fitting a full size dedicated (powered) GPS with Ram mount, or any mount, on to the CR may be difficult at best. With the ergonomics and lack of real estate, it might feel a bit like bolting a TV on to your push bike.
Had a good look at the ACT gear set here in Aus, which would clearly enhance the versatility of the DRZ as you outline. The ability to gear the bike for both the dirt and road/highway sections is very tempting. I’ve read quite a lot about it but do not ride enough currently to warrant spending that sort of money. A road riding mate of mine has just bought a SWM 500 so that may change shortly. Thanks for sharing your experiences. SteveFantastic is the short answer. I am still running 15/45 sprockets instead of the factory 14/47, which now makes top too tall at 100kph (small hill or slight headwind defeats it) but at 110kph it is on song and has plenty to go. I will play with the sprockets to move the sweet spot back down to 100kph.
Not to upset you but 11,000km in 14 months , but cant argue with your reasons.
It is expensive though - full engine out, top off, split crankcases etc. The local dealer quoted 1 1/2 days labour to fit.
Sorry, me again.
Have you seen the Eastern Beaver website www.easternbeaver.com, he makes some nice relay activated accessory power supplies. So not direct off the ignition but same effect.
And have you seen the Quadlock USB power supply? That would hide below your phone.
I have on an old Commando, spliced into the lighting circuit I have Cigar lighter socket in which is a tri port USB cigar plug. This is mounted pointing downwards velcro'd to the inside of the headlamp mounting bracket so unseen and any water drains away. It works only with the lights on which is 95% of the time, camera turns on and turns off with the lights.Has anybody wired a 12v USB (or other) socket into their ignition?
Wasn’t really thinking you should buy from U.K., but perhaps search similar in Oz? I searched ‘Ducati mirror blank screws‘ or differing permutations thereof ...Thanks FE, I had picked up this reference on the site before, but in you want to buy a matching pair and ship to Aus the cost is about 100 AUD. Specifically, what lh thread size are you looking for, we have companies in the UK that supply all kinds of m/cycle fittings.I’m with you Clive, for an ex-military guy my sense of direction is shocking. I’ve been known to get lost before exiting the car park! Using the inner clip on ends on the C/R, clever stuff. There’s space there to get a mount in of some sort. Lets see some pics when you get it done. Then I may blatantly copy it!
Refuse to give up on ebay. I’ve ordered three seperate versions of LH thread bolts for the brake resevoir mount. All have arrived (weeks later) RH thread!!! Patience, virtue and all that - I’ve ordered some more! Refuse to be beaten by the Chinese!!!

I have these.Hey Bernhard,
Looking for matching CNC M8 1.25 mirror plugs (RHT/LHT) that are’nt gonna cost me 100AUD to ship over to Aus - can’t find anything in-country. Most are M10. Ordered these that hopefully fit the bill. Would have preferred socket key slot but these should do. Don’t know why I’m digging my heals in but it irks to pay many times the cost of an item in postage.

Thanks Scott, they still want USD 43 to post a USD 20 item. Not sure when I turned into such a tight ass! I will buy these if there is any difficulty with the ones I’ve ordered above. I wonder how many 961 owners there are around the globe still cutting around with this vacant mirror mount holding their resevoir on!I have these.

Kind offer Scott but not necessary thanks. The ones I’ve ordered will work just great methinks. Appreciate the offer though - I’m not as frugal as I sound honest!I’ll buy them and ship them to you from free if that helps.
