NAIS - North American Idle Solution -Theory Of Operation
This is NAIS . NAIS will work for all ECU's . NAIS valve is set to full open when starting your bike cold. After Idle settles after a minute or so , NAIS valve is set for 1200 RPM +-100 per Norton specs. NAIS valve now remains set for the rest of your day ride and during subsequent start up if bike is still warmed up. I have been running NAIS for more than 6 months and I am very happy and satisfied with my idle and bikes running in general. NAIS works and this is the last time I will present this fix to the forum.

Tony,

Interesting design.
Can you explain how the valve is adjusted for a "warm" motor, and what that does to effect the idle?
Is this designed to stop or reduce high (crazy) idle on a hot engine?

Yes stops high crazy idle in all of my cases . It is the same procedure . You should only need to set it once at the beginning of the days ride when cold and after IACV settles to its idle.

Hi Tony,
just out of interest, approx how far shut does your valve end up once the engine is warm?
Each bike will no doubt differ.
