Some offerings don't inspire confidence in their build appearance...

Below is one I am leaning toward.

I assume you want to be able to roll your bike around easily. I use a motorcycle floor jack for this as it also works as a lift when needing to elevate the machine to work on it.

I made my own from wood and some casters I had lying around, but it's currently under the ZX-14 engine. Your drop-center model looks much more stable. Mine works fine, but the centerstand would make it teeter a bit, being so much higher.

I installed smooth laminate floor in bike shed , a square of plywood with old towel under it works great , no fuss to put bike on C stand , just sayin’

I also got mine at harbor freight. same as the craftsman unit - probably came out of the same factory. one good thing about the HF assembly - you can use the 20% off coupon. in the coupon's fine print, it says it's not valid on floor jacks, but the thing is listed as an ATV/motorcycle LIFT, and not a jack. list $180 - less 20 = $144 (and a free flashlight - ). also handy to get the differential in and out of your car. didn't use them for the photo, but it comes with some safety straps, which should ALWAYS be used. the lift or jack also has a mechanical safety interlock - nice feature. it will only work if the bike is on the side stand, and NOT the center stand. several on-line youtube videos using this thing with various bikes.

Yup that's the one. Note that the Commando is front heavy on the lift, and you should not remove the rear wheel without the straps in place or the bike will teeter to the front.

I bought one like lineslingers picture from "Legal Speeding" and it is very difficult to get the bike on. Personally I wouldn't waste my time or money on one of these. Once you get it on it works fine but getting it off and on is not as easy as the video shows www.legalspeeding.com/Park-n-Move.htm.

Legal speeding uses screws to lock wheels, the locking wheels used on the biketec one may make it easier to use. I think Ill try changing casters.

Mine is similar joe Czech, and it works very well. I use it for both the 850 & GL 1000 with no issues, except for how I set my blocks to prevent damaging anything. Pretty stable all in all once you figure the centers of gravity per machine.
Not as good as some of the lifts I've seen in a few of the pics on here though..... I won't say names or point fingers though, but for price and space....?

My brother has a Harley VROD and we're able to get the Craftsman lift under that too. You do have to be aware of center of gravity, as the lift will get tipsy otherwise. We considered one of the ramp type lifts but they're too heavy to be portable and the garage isn't big enough to have one permanently installed. The Craftsman/Harbor Freight design tucks under a workbench out of the way when not in use.

I use exact same dolly as pictured above for my MG Griso , no center stand available for that model .... I find the dolly works really well , plus it Ride on Ride off , and very easy to roll around my smallish shed , think it Harbour Freight version ... from Florida

Hopefully pictured is a Becker Industries stand that allows very easy movement of the bike. As you can see it supports the centre stand and the front wheel (or the rear wheel if that's the one that stays on the ground when you bike is on it's centre stand). I've got six of these stands and they've life so much easier moving bikes around in my shed. I have no idea if these are available in the US, but for Aussie buyers I'd highly recommend them. They're made in OZ, rather than China (like pretty much everything else is).
