Is there any after market vendor out there who supplies stick on faces to replace damaged or faded faces on Smiths clocks " green blob" version?
I have a set of spare clocks off my race bike and would like to revamp them.
Local repairers can lightly clean them, but cant replace them.
Regards Mike

The are at Parrots in CHCH at present with a quote, although that only includes a clean of the current faded faces.
Ill keep looking
Regards Mike

Gaggs in England will rebuild clocks functionally, or do a full re condition to as new, inc faces, etc. They’ll zero the speedo or keep your old mileage if required.

Trouble is, I’d guess that being in NZ, buy the time you’ve done with the cost and the postage etc, digitals would start to look quite tempting...

Hi Nigel, these are quite faded items off my race bike, I may just get them done as is and use them as spares if necessary for my road bike which are in better condition, although the tach on the road bike has just stopped working.
Ill keep at it.
There are few repairers here in NZ, so maybe will try another crowd with the road bike tacho.
Regards Mike

Is it not possible to source the cards only and replace them yourself?

Well, I think I can help in this case:

Tacho & Speedo Clocks

I have a batch of dial faces for the 71 on Smiths speedo and rev counter with the later style "faded" green blob.
They are printed on automotive foil sealed with uv-resistant matte foil.
I needed a pair of these dial faces for a project and the printer guy made a few extra.

I also have some early solid green dot ones for the pre 71 dial faces.

The digits are not quite like the original ones, I could not find the right font for them so I choose very similar ones.

Contact me via PM if anyone is interested.
