Anti-glare treatment for speedo & tacho

Try polarized sun glasses as they can completely eliminate glass reflections if at appropriate angle to them.
 
Yeah - tried that but still have annoying glare sometimes.
I contacted Speedo Angels and they confirmed the RE product in the link above are 74mm dia - so I've bought 2 (free shipping from UK).
I'll report back after fitting.

If there is no glare then you can see how fast you are going -
what will you tell the policeman then ? LOL
 
There is a type of glass used for artworks, called "Museum" glass which has very low reflectivity. Might want ot see if a local framing store can get you some cut to size....
 
I think, to an extent, that is what these "satin screen protectors"are
 
Well, my speedo angel "anti-glare" screen protectors arrived and are fitted to my tacho & speedo.
I used their "wet-fitment" method and it went very well.
New Interceptor clocks must be the same diameter as Commandos! (75mm dia. protectors)
I bought some spares and, with one of these, experimented cutting one down to go on the voltmeter.
Used sharp scissors and only cut straight - successfully brought one down to 43mm
Now also successfully fitted.

It's rainy today so have not tried for sun reflection but first impression is they definitely give a matte effect, but not so much as to make reading unclear.

I'll report back after a "sun-test"

The solution is glaringly obvious.
Don't look down at your instruments. I rarely do.
Keep yer eyes on the road , where they should be at all times.
Enjoy.
 
Sun glare tip - don’t polish your master cylinder cap. It looks great until the sun hit it when you’re riding. Satin black will be my choice next time I’m painting.

I had mine chromed... very pretty but major glare sometimes.
 
Close your eyes lol, over 46 years of riding my Norton I have never notice glare but then I am always looking where I am going very rarely look at my speedo or tac even on my modern bikes.

Interesting, I just had Lasik done and they made a BIG deal out of always wearing Polarized sun Glasses.
Wife recently read that one should not ski with Polraized lenses also. So confusing....
 
It probably does not hurt to take a look at the speedometer on occasion.
I got a reminder last week in the form of a nice photo putting along in the left lane of three lanes on a near deserted motorway.
111 kmh in a 100 @ $183 thanks.

Yikes. At my age I voluntarily relax and talk with Police because they seem interested in the bike a lot. Not my driving behaviour..
