A topend heavy powerband on a V4 1200 superbike is one thing.
A 650 twin with such a powerband is another.
The Beemer F800 DOHC twin is a nice ride with a claimed 85HP. I can see with 100HP it would have to lose some its midrange and be less enjoyable a ride. A smaller displacement 650 producing 100HP would certainly have its power delivery severely impacted.
If Norton can get an honest 85HP SAE from the 650 (non-supercharged version), with a good power spread, I should think that would make a really nice ride.
