Xs650 mount near tank or breather?

Ben, all things concidered any leaks should be addressed individually and treated with sound machanics such as proper torque on all fasteners, replacement of gaskets and oil seals and finally proper venting. Even though a 75 is a late model Norton, it is still 35 years old. As you fix the leaks, add the valve.
Again, although the valve may or may not help, it is not a replacement for proper maintanance and machanical practices.

All seals are good to my knowledge. It is mostly at the tach line that I think it would help. Besides for $16 it would be a good bit of prevention and plus I'll gain all that free horsepower right?

Just saw the post on the last page, I must have skipped over it. Thanks to all!

Well I finally figured out how I wanted to mount it:

That's pretty close to what I'm going to do. I'm going to try clear hose to see just what's coming up the breather
