Just buy one of Jim Comstock’s (Comnoz) valves and both issues are dealt with.
1)You have a partial vacuum in the cases.
2) Wet sumped oil is pumped back to the tank in the first few revolutions after startup.

And you have really nicely engineered device!

Cheers,

cliffa.

1. I can't speak for Constant, but I don't know how else to interpret 'I don't believe you.' It's unnecessary.
2. I've had old bikes in my life for over 40 years, so I know about those clichés.
3. My opinion is that any device between tank and pump is a bomb waiting to go off.
Happy now?

I don't believe you.

What makes you think we're all that interested in your beliefs?
If you have any evidence to contradict Constant's statement, let's have it. Yes, there are reports of failures of other types. He's not selling them.

How's about you do us a favor, and ID the units that did fail and those suppliers?

Are you a nutter? What makes you think we're all that interested in your querying my "beliefs?"

No.

Yes, there are reports of failures of other types. He's not selling them.

All spring-loaded valves misused in oil feed lines are the same "type." They are spring loaded valves.
Did you read the scary instructions about needing a perfect, newly overhauled pump, bleeding the system and staring into the oil tank to see the return after any lengthy parking ? That was written with lubrication failure on his mind. They also read like get-out clauses.

How's about you do us a favor, and ID the units that did fail and those suppliers?

How about I don't bother?
