If he values his reputation, he will NEVER sell a raw head casting.
Err, care to explain? :?: Why should selling raw castings (I'm not talking about rejected stuff which the ebay head might well be) to tuners who like to play with their own ideas be detrimental to his reputation? I don't see the point.

OK, here goes. I own my own business. I happen to manufacture upholstered headboards, and I believe I value my reputation as much as Fullauto. I have been asked many times by other upholstery shops to just make my frames. I would then have no control over the quality of the upholstery. Most of us who own small businesses live and die on our reputation. I am not about to have someone else in control of my products. If they want to make headboards, or motorcycle heads, let them build and stand behind their product, just as I do. Some will be great, maybe better than me, some will be ok, many will probably be turkeys leaning leaning against a fence.
Now it's true that Fullauto only would be making the casting, but many of these would, sooner or later, be entering the marketplace. His castings are very easy to identify. Sooner or later there will be trouble. I want full control of my product and while I would never try to speak for him, I would, however, be surprised if, despite his statements, he would realy sell a raw casting, at least to someone he did not know and trust. If he were to ask my advise, and I am sure he doesn’t need it, I would advise against sale of raw product without material change and different labeling
Edit.... Thinking about it. I hope Fullauto has patented his head (ok, you know what I mean), and copyrighted it's image. He has a superior product and he should protect it.
