Wiring nightmare

the wiring comes from Mick Hemmings. should be stock stuff.

Should be, however I get the feeling that the double white/yellow with female spade and the single white/yellow with the flag connector near the white/blue is the ballast resistor to coils(-) wiring which is usually white/purple even though white/purple isn't shown on the wiring diagram.

I believe I can also see another single white/yellow wire? Does that wire have a female spade connector by any chance?

Edit:
If the other end of the white/blue WU wire has a bullet connector, then it would perhaps be simpler if the Boyer white was connected to the WU at the flag terminal end and the bullet end connected as shown on the wiring diagram (to WY from kill sw.) and tape up all those white/yellow wires.

The black/white and black/yellow wires will also be unused with the Boyer so they can be taped up.

I see your wiring nightmare and raise you this one --------

Wiring nightmare

the black box is a micro changeover relay for high and low beam

What I have there is:
-double WY with female spade (left end of the pic)
-Single WY with female spade (in the right end of the pic)
-Single WY with flag (central)
-Single WU with flag (central)
not in front of the bike till the next week end. so cannot check for the bullet connector...

OK, in that case it seems sensible to connect the Boyer white to white/blue (flag) as I expect it does have a bullet connector at the other end.

The three white/yellows appear to be the unmarked wires drawn on the diagram between the ballast resistor and the coil negatives (which I would normally expect to be white/purple !), therefore no battery power would get to the white/yellow wires unless they have a connection to white/blue, so it makes more sense to completely eliminate those white/yellow wires from the ignition circuit.

[Edit: Another even simpler alternative would be to connect the Boyer box white wire directly to the white/yellow from the handlebar kill switch if the wires are long enough?]
