Why single phase to 3 phase.

Duh, once ya get rid of the half of shoe box of useless police wires and go w/o useless fault prone turn signals and the key on indicator light, any rec/reg that ain't stock Lucas is an upgrade that only depends on how cute a one ya like as all replacements potted reg/rec with do the job nicer. I'd just put a toggle or such for power to ign and another to cut in lights after running. Then most complexity is the hi beam and flash beam button if ya want light signaling. This is the way Trixie Combat is wired and works a treat and nothing to fix sticking out on low speed drops. Harley Choppers lead the way for Nortons here.

Yes it is still standard a MK111 1975 850, I have replaced the sprag, but put 60wt oil in the primary case, then the sprag only worked when the battery was fully charged or after the bike was well and truly warm, I thought maybe I'd used a sticky oil so I tried to flush it with lighter oils, now I'm thinking I also have to replace the ( gear & race) at the moment I can't find my parts book.
