Did 25 miles today, before run I checked the level after bike was ticking over for 3-4 mins. Checked level just after run, NO change. I'll keep running the bike this week & keep an eye on the levels.

I like your optimism :lol:

Need to put a few more miles on the bike before I feel I have an angle on oil consumption.

Slight setback, while doing some basic maintenance I dislodged the circlip from one of my fuel taps. It's the lever style with the plate saying ON / RES etc :cry:

I searched through all my bits & pieces & had some external circlips but no internal circlips :evil: The original circlip had already been worked on by somebody & I'd say was just barely holding the lever shaft/plate in place.

I searched a few motor factors & DIY stores but no luck!! I has some luck, I hope, with a motorbike parts supplier, he rebuilds motorbikes & thinks he might have the correct size internal circlip at home, he will bring it in tomorrow, fingers crossed.

So no miles today :cry:

Update:

Got the fuel tap sorted (Thanks again Dave)

Did another 80miles and the oil level seems stable

I think I was confusing myself by emptying the sump back into the oil tank & trying to judge oil consumption from the levels I was getting.
