What’s better than a Rhodesian Ridgeback guard dog for your bikes?

Why, two Rhodesian Ridgeback guard dogs, obviously !

Although it’s gonna be a while before new ‘un is guarding much...

My Lab is busy guarding the armchair on this rainy day....and isnt that supposed to be a Zimbabwean Ridgeback?

For years it was Punch & Jingles English Bull Terriers looking after our kids and bikes .... sadly they both gone now , however our Brenna has a business called ..... yup ,Punch & Jingles , she went with me in her pajamas to pick up puppy Punch from the H.Angel in charge of sales ... Punch official name was CKC Brother at Arms .... those dogs of yours are beautiful Nigel , wish them long and happy lives !

Thanks Craig.

I’ve had a soft spot for these African Roughnecks since my parents had them when I was younger.

I rescued one pup when it fell through thin ice on a pond. That mutt bonded with me like you cannot imagine forever after that !

When we went to buy our first one our youngest daughter, Maggie, had just turned 3 years old. We’re sat having a cuppa with the old boy breeder and I said to the missus “where’s Maggie”? She’d wondered off, found a big bed with 4 adult Ridgebacks in it, climbed on top of them all and snuggled down with them like she was one of the pack!

Fabulous dogs. Soft as tripe with their own, and with kids.... scary as f*ck if they think you’re an intruder !

Melts my heart - there are moments ( more and more often with each passing year ) when I prefer the company of dogs to that of humans . I have often said there are only two problems with dogs -
1 ) You get too attached to them
2 ) They don’t live long enough

Wish you many happy & healthy years with them !

My pal & bird hunting partner - just turned 11 and thankfully still going strong .
I'm afraid he doesn't like my bikes though because that means separation .

Now you've got to get them a flag so they feel at home. SIT NOMINE DIGNA.
They'll understand..... Plus an FAL & G3 with plenty of ammo. Perhaps a lion for playtime..... Those dogs can run all damn day long. Got to watch the hips though.

Two Aussie cattle dogs mother red dog daughter blue dog, no one gets in my yard without me knowing and they don't bark they are the quitest dogs in the neighbourhood except when some one come in the front gate and they know friends from foe and if I am up the back in the shed they let me know when someone is here and if its a stranger they run back down to them after they let me know and if they are friends they get excited, if anyone enters my place at night they don't get far without nipping at their heels, they don't call them heelers for no reason.
