Is there a better place to route the oil feed hose ?

The oil feed hose runs between the throttle bodies is there a better route ? My oil hoses are starting to dry crack especially around the oil cooler . It is time for a freshen up of the hoses and I thought that I might change the feed hose route a bit. Going between the throttle bodies makes sense , but I have seen some of the newer bike with a slightly different route going to the oil pump . Can Stu or somebody fill us in on the different route ? Also , I thought while I was at it , I would replace /reroute the battery the cables with a beter quality/gauge . Any thoughts guys ?
 
Later bikes had the oil tank outlet angled to allow the oil hose to run down to the right of the throttle body. Think the change came around 2016 iirc.

OK that answers that then. I will keep the feed hose between the throats . Do you have an opinion on the battery cable routing ? I don't care for it between the throttle throats like it is now because of chaffing . Thanks for the help.
 
Well, in theory its not ideal, but in practice it's not been an issue to my knowing as of yet. The one thing that I certainly don't like is the piss poor main earth attachment to the engine, via the M6 bolt at the back of the barrel.

You have limited options with the way the engine is mounted. We tried going to one of the rocker cover bolts and didn't like the results

Hello City Garage , Can I ask you what you mean about going to one of the rocker cover bolts ? Is this for the ground lug ?
