Been snow and deep slosh trapped so spent 3 days resanding 600,800,1000, 1200, 1500, 2000 grit then hard rough buffer wheel with rubbing compound paste then two wax base rouges and lighter wheels the a chalk based fine polish with powder puff soft wheel so only flame-steam micro peak melt-seal anodizing then waxing - so can finaly assemble one more time to measure last time for brake hose order. Yokes, sliders, caliper, Z-plates, fork brace and Drouin cover and mount and didn't slip up on any step to re-do, whew. Still planning to gold paint insides of thicker holes. I've got can of Turtle wax on hand but wondering if there's other preferred waxes or techniques for best lasting sheen? Turlte wax lasted 3 yr on Trixies paint beading water and nice clean easy wipes and still pretty good but while waxing mood will re-do her stuff too. Have not waxed engine covers as don't know if heat will bother the sheen or just evaporate to nullify the effort.
