tz style fairing for commando

hi, Murray at cycle craft engineering had a few half fairings made using the top of a yamaha tz fairing as a mold, the fairing is more compact than the usual norvil pr offering, and in my opinion looks better, we decided to put it to the test and fitted one to my 850, i am posting some pictures so you can judge for your self, any feedback welcome as this could possibly be developed as a kit, cheers pete

But I'm more interested in the colour blue you have used on your bike! Can you tell us what it is?

Did Murray also make the primary cover, and does he sell them?

Hi Fast Eddie, see attached pic for paint detail, as per the note on the tin we used a courser aluminium for more bling and i think it looks good without being to in your face, Murray did hand fabricate the primary cover but it was a one of, i will ask him if he is planning on making any more. i also attached a couple of pics with the bike in the shed so you can see what the pint looks like in a more subdued light, cheers pete

Nice, wish I could find one like that that would fit higher/standard US handlebars. Is there one out there?

The other thing to ask is how are the aerodynamics ?
Adding a fairing can affect the stability, so its good to know that it all works good...

Looks good, especially in that colour.

That is lovely and a cut or three above the PR fairing. The whole bike is so neat in the details and fit of the fairing, seat and exhaust, everything really. Beautiful job. 8)

Good work.
As a footnote ; there have been several types of TZ fairings over the years; early one come without hand streamlining, latter one come with them as here, and even later ones come with a horizontal V streamlining on the Handlebars.
