You don’t have Nikasil though? I thought they changed to Nikasil coating with MKII bikes...

Pretty sharp indeed.
Did Dave slip an extra gear in your tranny while he was in there?
Thank you for clarification. I just didn’t know that with the coating you still see a cross hatch from honing...All the SE’s (in Canada) have Nikisil and almost all the 2014’s (in Canada) and newer (in canada) have Nikisil. Just for reference.
I think I got it know. Nikasil is short for Nickel Silicon Carbide and this coating is applied directly on the alluminum of the cylinders and honed just like cast iron cylinder liners as the early 961s have.YES Nikasil and yes crosshatch honing .
So did you weld the crack or patch the trailer? Hope that was uneventful for the ride home. BTW, how far are you from the Falls area? I'm about a 10 hour ride. Oh....and this has been one of the most enjoyable reads on the forum since Richard from Kent visited and toured the US with a stop at the Cootes's, my area, Tony's and others. Thanks so much for posting this fellas. A breath of fresh air. Fresh Canadian air. lol
