Wow.. This is simply amazing. I cannot believe the level of detail you're taking with this bike. Very, very impressive.

It's hard to imagine how much more involved what you're doing is versus what I'm doing. Then again, I'm OK with bastardizing my bike changing out things I don't like in favor of things I do like instead of insisting that it's all original. My only rule is no hacking at the frame. Pretty much everything else is fair game. Makes things easier, but there's something to be said about a bike as meticulously restored as yours! Very, very nice.

I made a second prototype of the tank badge using the revised graphics. The tail in the "r" in the Norton script turned a bit when I peeled the paper off the vinyl as the connection to the main part of the "r" is very thin. I'll have to watch that when I start to make the actual badges. Sorry about the bright spots - the thing is impossible to photograph with my crappy camera without using the flash.

Everything you are doing looks awesome. Almost too nice to subject to the real world. I suggest placing the bike on a nice oak platform where the TV used to sit. That would be much nicer to watch than what's on cable.

On the subject of the homemade tank and tail badges - I found out that if the plastic disc is in good condition, you can actually flat-sand (glass) the existing graphics off the back of the disc then polish the entire disc and finally bond a vinyl decal to the original disc. Only one of my plastic discs was in acceptable condition and after polishing and the bonding of the decal - it looks great. It saved me having to cast yet another disc (each disc needs to cure in the mold for at least 24 hours and then be post cured in the oven for 6-8 hours).

Very nice, was orange an original colour? Not that it matters. I see in the brochure, they list black, but that may not mean anything.
