something different about photobucket

Hi,
What has changed with Photobucket? The last time I tried to import a photo from there to
this forum I could not figure out how to do it. Previously you just put your arrow on the photo
and a list popped out on which you clicked the "img" option, it does not do that anymore. What is the new trick?

I don't understand why they hire expensive programers to screw with a good straight forward grab and share set up. Best I can figure now is must open the photo then scroll over the the view links option to pull down the direct link box and then tag it as usual to grab the URL to insert in forum image tag. Webshots sold out and now none of the photo's of Trixies rebuild and adventures show up here no mo.

Yeah, the "automatic clipboard" feature is gone. You must left click to the link, right click and choose "copy". New within the last couple weeks.

I went back into Photobucket and using the "links" option managed to figure it out.

I've a free account so might just be p-bucket screwing with the freebie's to pressure to buy an account? Changed from fairly colorful home account page to the b/w utilitarian format. Also i can't figure out how to resize photo's any more, it was so obvious prior, ugh.

It is simply an updated interface they are trying out. There is an option to return to the original front end somewhere on the upperish left side. All will be right with the world.

Used to be there was a drop down list when you 'mouse over' a picture, it's still there, but I cannot select the img code any more, used to be I could click on the img code and it would copy. I noticed this has been going on and off for a while now, I just select 'share' now and have to copy the img code in the 'get link code' tab in the pop up window. Pain in the butt. They are probably trying to get people to pay, don't know. Or maybe they're just being cruel.

DogT, thanx for reviewing the extra scrolls and strokes required with the new photobucket handling. might search up differences in paid vs free accounts to see if thats a factor.

The photo 'mouse over' still works OK for me, the IMG code option is in the list and it still 'copies' when selected.

The good old photo is still working just fine for me. Maybe you all should not have hit the "try the all new photobucket" button.

Find the button to revert back to th old one. I keep repeating this till we get it right.

I never hit that button at the top where it still says 'try it now', it's still there. Maybe I should try it. Like I said, the click copy worked on and off for a while, now it doesn't.

It's something in my Firefox, IE works. Probably some javascript I have disabled somewhere.
