Posting photos with PhotoBucket

For a while now, I've been uploading photos to PB (drag and drop) and they seem to go into a 'recent' album instead of my default album. Does anyone know how to fix this, I don't want an album named 'recent', I just want them to go into the default album, same thing happens when I try to upload to other albums, I have several, they go to 'recent' instead of the album I try to send them to. Sorry but I don't know where else to ask this question and this forum is my most used one for photos. Seems like I can't move them either.

Why do they change things when it worked fine before? Just to irritate us fogies? I have enough out of control dreams as it is. I don't see any need to use up Jerry's server when PB has been working fine for me until now.

For me, I select the "View Library" as can be seen towards the lower part of this image, open the "Norton" file (or whatever you've named yours), then drag and drop. Hopefully, this will help you categorize your images.

I pull up a pb photo then tag direct link then paste that in the image bracket here. If ya click on you pb image for its on page ya can then r click for copy image location and paste here too. Gotta select which library album to down load too but even that some times still puts it in my main default album but hey its free so what do I expect. Once you do get used to the pb process they'll change it again.

No doubt about that. I think it happened when they went to the drag and drop pictures into the page instead of selecting 'upload' and selecting the library I want to upload to. I've been dragging pictures right from say the desktop to PB. I'll go back to my old method and see if that straightens things out, but now my folders are screwed up and if I start moving things around the links will be bad. It was half organized before, now it's all over the place. Oh, well, such is technology.

Well, that didn't work, everything I upload goes into the "recent uploads" and I can't move them out of there. I think they're f7777d up. I try copying them into the other library and all I get is another copy in the recent uploads. I'll look somewhere else for help.

From ANY pb screen, there is a big orange tab at the top in the middle.. click it, then there is an: "upload to:" drop down menu/arrow that appears, click the arrow, then choose the folder you want them in... then either drag and drop or, choose files to upload.

That's exactly what I did last time and it still went into 'recent uploads' and I can't move it from there.

Maybe I've overstayed my free time.

Try waiting a couple minutes after you select which folder to upload to? I had that same problem in the past... if I'm in a big hurry, it (the PB site) doesn't refresh fast enough

Hi Dave,

You could upload them to your gallery or into your posts and keep them on our server here, just an option as you are a vip its possible quite easily. They will fit in the posts better too. Pm me if you need help,

I may do that Jerry because I now can't sort any of my PB pictures in groups/libraries. Everything goes into 'recent' and is immoveable from there. It's like trying to keep all your files on the desktop. I'll see if I can figure it out.

Yes, I've tried both organize and not. I think I've overstayed my free subscription. I think maybe I've filled up my 'default bucket' and they won't let me fill it any more, but who's to know? It was good while it lasted.

Hmm. Now I've just uploaded this pic and it's in my 'recent' and also in the 'default'. Go figure. Maybe they've figured out that things aren't working right.

I just wanted to show that in the recent area, there is no option to 'move' like in the 'default bucket' area.

HA. Turned out to be static between the earphones. The date on my camera is a year behind and thus the pictures being sorted by date are hard to find a year ago. PB doesn't sort by date loaded (newest first), but by the camera date (newest first).

I'm outta here. I wish it would warm up and stop raining. We've had maybe 1-2 days of riding wx so far.
