About the only thing I have to add is that you will probably have to do some trial and error with the length and angle of the stand to get things right, but you probably know that. You need enough lean to make the bike resistant to a light bump away from the stand but also not too much lean. Again, the Triumph is about right for this. I am on holiday at the moment but could measure the lean angle when I get back home.
I know some stock stands don't give enough lean angle, some give too much. A friend had his prewar Series A. Vincent fall over away from the stand after getting hit with a gust of wind. That stand was too long. The tip overdamaged the fuel tank that he had just spent nearly 10 k restoring ( long story of ineptitude)
